This recipe is fail proof. I used butter flavored crisco,self rising flour (was out of all purpose), and brown sugar and it still turned out perfect. I made 1 loaf and then with the rest of the batter I threw in a cup of chocolate chips and made muffins. The muffins only took about 25 minutes to bake up.
Since I used self rising flour, I omitted the salt, and only added 1 tsp of baking powder. Overall, a great recipe, and I really like that you don't have to have the exact ingredients...makes it easier to make on the fly.
