Last Minute Mushrooms

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2008
This recipe would be good, if you remember a couple of things in cooking with mushrooms. Fresh mushrooms should be cooked at more than a medium heat or else they just steam. As for the seasoned salt, mushrooms should only be lightly seasoned AT THE END of cooking after the juices have evaporated. Adding just a dash of nutmeg can make this an outstanding dish.

Almond-Crusted Halibut Crystal Symphony

It's been a while since I've made this but I remember it well. It took a little care and time to add the butter, but was divine in the end. I highly recommend it!

Excellent! I didn't change a thing out the recipe. They came out perfectly fudgey and delicious. I will make these again and again!

Greek Style Garlic Chicken Breast

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2008
We ate this recipe last night with pasta sea shells on the side and garlic bread. It was very yummy. Warning to anyone that is grilling this inside the house instead of out on a barbque grill, open EVERY SINGLE WINDOW IN THE HOUSE because it's going to look like a fire got started in the house somewhere. The hot grill and the olive made a lot of smoke but it was soooooo worth it. LOVE IT!

Sugar Cookie Frosting

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2008
Okay i had trouble with this recipe but i think the reason it didn't come out was more my fault. I added all the ingredients and i whipped it around in the bowl a few times by hand and figured that was all it needed. What i think i did wrong was i was supposed to actually whip it with a machine for a few minutes and not by hand.

Chicken Alfredo with Fettuccini Noodles

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2008
This recipe was "ok". It had a very wierd texture to me with the cheese. I guess it just wasn't what i had in mind. I was thinking of that "Olive Garden" kind of Chicken Alfredo. All in all it was edible and my kids ate it so no complaints.

Marinated Grilled Shrimp

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2008
I made this recipe on Thursday night and found myself making it again Sunday night. My family loved and none of my 4 little boys complained about the pepper and they're wimps when it comes to anything with a little kick behind it. I paired this with steak and a baked potato and my husband said it felt like he was eating at Black Angus resteraunt. This is a MUST HAVE recipe!

Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2008
i rated this recipe 4 out of 5 for only one reason. I had to play with the creame cheese filling to get it right. I should have read the first persons review on this because if you beat the heck out of the creame cheese, it turns into soup. I found it was okay to have it a lil' thick. It tastes so yummy that way. Also, i got a little worried when i seen that the muffin mixture was a little bit thick and i was thinking, "Oh my god i messed it up" but it's supposed to be that way. So don't worry. lol I wish someone would have wrote that so i wouldn't have stressed. I'm so glad i found this recipe because these muffins tasts so good and yummy.

Soft Sugar Cookies I

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2008
I found this recipe useful. It took a bit more work than i had expected but a good cook/baker always knows how to fix something this is not going his/her way. I wouldn't bother chilling it because you can chill the thing for a year and it's not going to get any more workable for you. I found that the key to making this thing turn out right was tons and tons of flour. Once you have your dough ready and your getting ready to roll it out, grab a huge hanful of the dough and a huge handful of flour. Put the two together and start working them. Than make it into a ball like your gonna roll a pizza out and throw more flour all over it. Than flour up your folling pin and start rolling. In the middle of rolling if the dough starts to stick to your rolling pin, than throw some more flour over the dough and continue to roll. As long as you have flour on hand you should be safe. I think next time i will try another recipe but only because i've never made soft sugar cookies before and i'd like to know if it was supposed to be that intense to roll out and cut up.

Michelle's Peanut Butter Marbled Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2008
These were great! The only thing I changed was the amount of butter, and sugar. I reduced the butter to 3/4 c and the sugar to 1 1/2 c. I think they would have come out too sweet and greasy otherwise. I will definately make these again and again.:)
