Indian Spiced Rice Treats

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2008
Yup, yet another winner from allrecipes! I don't like raisins much, but they totally worked in this recipe. I wanted to cut back on the marshmallows and use some brown sugar instead, but I wasn't sure how it would set up. Regardless, this is delicious as written. Thank you!

Chinese Spareribs

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2008
Wow... Unbelievably good. I marinated the ribs overnight (I made 'em with ground ginger as that's what I had on hand), and liberally basted the ribs every ten minutes. I definitely recommend broiling them - they crisp up beautifully. The meat was falling off the bone. Phenomenal. Will definitely be making again!

Filipino Lumpia

Ohh my goodness! ARE YOU KIDDIN' ME?!?!?!? These were "Tight", as my young friends (nieces and nephews) say! I used a sweet and sour sauce, with red pepper flakes. Yummy, till the last drop!

Parmesan Herb Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
Awesome bread! I upped the amount of Parm, and made it in my bread machine. Next time, I'll let the machine do the kneading, then shape the loaf by hand. I could have eaten the whole thing in one sitting - delicious. Thanks so much, Cathy!

Spanish Style White Bean and Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
I cut back on the chicken stock as I wanted this to be more stew-like. The only other changes I made were to use green bell pepper, and I browned the sliced Andouille in olive oil before adding the other ingredients. I've never cooked with kale before but I'm definitely a fan - I loved that it had so much flavor and didn't turn to mush like, say, spinach. Thanks!

Tuna Pasta Salad with Dill

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
DELICIOUS! Perfect for a warm, sunny California spring, summer, fall, or even winter! I didn't have any milk so I left it out and I substituted Jalapeno juice for pickle juice. It was a bit too "dilly" but still delicious!

Difficult to make and use, but I think that is the nature of it. Otherwise, exactly what I was looking for!

Cherry Pie III

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
I made a lot of changes that people suggested for the recipe, and it turned out very good. I have a sweet tooth so I used some sweet cherries along with the sour, but I think next time I will use even more (3 cans sweet, 1 sour)

Soft Sugar Cookies IV

Excellent. They were soft, sweet, full (had to press them even!), and a dash of sugar on top made them heavenly. A great recipe I will use again.

Gyoza

This recipe was good, but nothing like what you can buy at the store. Very greasy and made a mess out of my kitchen even with a screen. It took a long time to make, but it did taste good. I made a couple of large ones to eat on the go which were tasty and convenient!

Honey Of An Oatmeal Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
I don't have a bread machine but I do have a Kitchen Aid Mixer. I used my mixer from beginning to end, starting out with proofing my yeast and then jumping to kneading with my bread hook. I used a full packet of yeast in mine. Turned out great. I covered mine with foil during the last ten minutes or so to keep the top of the bread from burning while the rest of the bread finished cooking. This is wonderful bread. I plan on using it for sandwiches and french toast tomorrow.

Unbeatable Pecan Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
I used the filling recipe for this pie with the crust from the Southern Pecan Pie II recipe. The filling is delicious. If I were to make this pie again, I would probably increase the volume of ingredients by at least 1/3.
