Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

This sprawling city is the capital of Oklahoma. Oil derricks on the lawn of the State Capitol testify to Oklahoma’s past as a big-time oil state. Today, the city is a crossroads of commerce where Interstates 35 and 40 intersect. “America’s Main Street,” Route 66, also angles through town. For weary travelers converging on the town, “Oklahoma City looks oh-so pretty.” Locals and passers-by alike are drawn to the Bricktown section of OKC, where they can fuel up at any number of restaurants, and afterwards stretch their legs with a stroll along the river walk. A large Vietnamese population makes Oklahoma City a hot place for Banh Mi sandwiches or a steaming bowl of pho. Oklahoma’s cowboy past is celebrated at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum and at Stockyards City, founded in 1910, and billed as “the best of the West and a whole lot more” -- grab a big juicy steak at Cattlemen’s Restaurant and a cool pair of kickers at Langston’s!

I have used thin pork chops and chicken breast that I pounded thinner. I also added a bit of minced garlic to the honey sauce. Yummy recipe!
