About me:
I am a stay at home mom of a baby girl and include cooking as one of my main hobbies. Because I am not able to get out too much, and eating is a necesity, it is a convenient outlet for my creative energies. I am proud to say that I am a self taught chef who never really learned to cook growing up with my single father. I wanted to be able to save money on groceries while, at the same time, provide healthy and diverse dishes so I started searching the sale stacks of cook books at the book store. I now have quite a collection of books on cusine spanning the globe and my husband is very gratefull.

Bill's Blue Cheese Dressing

Reviewed on Jan. 6, 2009 by Jutta
I give this recipe 5 stars because the ingredients are perfect. The changes I made are to the amounts because of personal preference. I used 1 cup each of the sour cream and mayo, 1/4 tsp. worcester sauce, 1/4 tsp black pepper and a splash of milk to make the dressing more fluid. The blue cheese I used was strong in flavor so I didn't increase it. Very good dressing. Thanks for sharing.

Asian Coleslaw Light

Reviewed on Dec. 31, 2008 by Ashley
this recipe is fantastic! I would have given it 5 stars, but I made some changes. Don't do anything to the ramen other than break it up and mix it in. Plus I put in almonds and sunflower seeds, which was good, and I increased the sugar, olive oil, and vingar to 4 Tbs. It turned out fantastic and I got a ton of compliments on it. My husband has been talking about it constantly. plus, it's light and a great side to almost any cuisine!

Pork Tenderloin with Herb Sauce

Reviewed on Dec. 15, 2008 by Shelby24019
This recipe is GREAT!!I made it today and my family loved it! The changes I made was I used chicken breasts instead of pork and I used 2 minced garlic cloves instead of the garlic powder. I made the sauce as directed, lightly browned the chicken breast on both sides, poured the sauce over the chicken and let it simmer for about seven minutes over very low heat. I served it over cooked rice. The sauce was delicious over the rice too. Definitely a keeper for my family!!
