Buttermilk Pancakes II

Reviewed on Sep. 28, 2008 by ellasequema
Had some leftover buttermilk, so I decided that pancakes were in order this morning! I scaled this recipe down to four and added 1/2 teaspoon of additional sugar, and dumped everything into the same bowl instead of separating wet and dry ingredients; I was cooking right away. We loved it! I made seven hefty pancakes that were fluffy, moist and delicious. Use REAL buttermilk, don't go trying to make your own with lemon juice or vinegar! It's not the same and you won't get the same effect.

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Let me tell you, these are addictive, make with extreem caution! They are so good. I made them for a bake sale for the church where the proceeds went to fight childhood hunger, they were sold within minutes, people who bought them wated to come back for more!

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed on Sep. 25, 2008 by ellasequema
Tangy, sweet and delicious! Mine came out a little crumbly, but who cares; the crumbs taste just as good. :) I made the recipe exactly as written, but I'm going to try this a variety of ways in the future: as muffins and in a cast iron skillet that my boyfriend's grandma passed down to him. Don't try "making" buttermilk; cave in and buy the real stuff or else it won't taste the same.
