Beef and Tomato Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2008
Love the simple basics. I used an already made pie crust from the grocers and unrolled it. Added a small hungarian hot pepper and kidney beans to the beef. Sauteeing the onions and (garlic) first helps. Will be topping with mozzarella & serving with homemade tzatziki sauce It compliments the hot peppers.

Ratatouille

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
LOVED THIS RECIPE. I USED SQUASH AND NO GREEN PEPPERS. I SUGGEST SLICING THE EGGPLANT INTO NICE FLAT DISCS FOR EASIER LAYERING. THIS IS A KEEPER AND EVEN BETTER THE NEXT DAY!

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2008
Started making this to marinate, and then had an emergency and had to leave. So I put it all in the crockpot. 4 hours later it was perfect...my daughter's favorite meal is teriyaki chicken, and she said this was the best ever. Gobbled up the juice on white rice.

Chocolate Pavlova

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2008
Made this to bring to my son's girlfriends parents house. It was really beautiful and not hard to make at all. Everyone loved it and declared it a 5 star winner! Now if only we could travel to taste it in Australia or New Zealand! It would also make adorable individual servings.

Sweet and Spicy Soup with Black-Eyed Peas and Sweet Potato

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2008
We really liked this soup. I followed the directions pretty closely, But used real onion and garlic, not dried and did put in most of the other seasonings, all fresh, though. I also used fresh baked sweet potatoes and used less water. I also put in shredded chicken. It really hit the spot!

Best Brownies

Amazing, I had a similar recipe with 1/2 cup cocoa (WAY TOO MUCH)and 2 tsp on vanilla which overpowered all of it. THIS IS THE RECIPE! AGAIN, AMAZING!!

Peanut Butter Cupcakes

These were so good - light, fluffy and moist. Even people who "don't really like paenut butter" loved these. I covered them with homemade chocolate frosting and Reeses Pieces crumbles. Yum Yum.

Cherry Cobbler II

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2008
OK, I have to say, this is so simple and delicious. I cannot believe there aren't more reviews. I used NO butter, I never do, and sprayed the 9X9 pan with Pam. I used a can of black cherries in syrup and drained them. I cup up fresh strawberries and added a bit of sugar to them both. Cooked everything as said and it was so delicious!! Thank you for a recipe so wonderful!!

Three Berry Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2008
This is Amazing pie. I added some blackberries and 1 apple to help "fill" the pie. I halved the sugar and added 3 packs of splenda. You DO NOT have to ADD more CORNSTARCH if using FRESH BERRIES. My husband and I are health nuts and this is the perfect dessert for us!! I added a bit of powder sugar to our slices.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2008
This is the BEST banana bread ever. I even subsituted 1/2 cup whole wheat flour and the smart balance butter blend and it was amazing. Also, as always I added tbsp vanilla just because I love it. My family loved it. Finally, moist and delicious banana bread.

Grilled Tropical Tuna Steaks

Reviewed: May 22, 2008
Tried this last night.I had bluefin tuna right off the fishing boat.Wasn't sure if I would like this marinade, but am really glad I tried it. It came out great.I did however make two small changes,I used crushed pineapple, because I didn't have preserves ,and because I don't like sesame oil, used regular olive oil.It was grilled to just rare and served over a salad with a light lime vinaigrette.I am sure this recipe will stay in my recipe box and used regularly.
