Madison, Wisconsin

Though Madison is the political capital of Wisconsin, Madison is not only a city of politics it is also the city which represents our state to the nation as a truly wonderful melting pot of cultures. Wisconsin was founded by many Scandinavians, Germans and Irish. But times have changed and now Madison Wisconsin is a multi-cultural city not only in population but local cuisine as well. Madison prides itself on the things that have made Wisconsin famous worldwide -- cheese, beer and Bucky Badger brand snack foods -- but we also embrace a multitude of other cultures from Indian to Mexican, the Dane County Farmers Market to Brat Fest. We are a city that just loves our food, and we love it well.

My passion with cooking started early in college, and came from two sources: fond memories of my mom's incredible cooking; and the harsh realities of horrible dorm-cafeteria food.

Cheddary Artichoke Snacks

Reviewed on Oct. 13, 2008 by Katy
Exactly followed the recipe and the dish was alright, the flavors were interesting, but not quite right for me. I think I'll likely make it again, but next time will be fresh grated parmesan and finely diced red peppers plus some fresh red peppers. We tried it both with French bread and sour dough, the sour dough was easier to use (more surface area), but both were attractive. :) Thanks for the recipe!

Orzo with Parmesan and Basil

5 stars for easy, 4 for flavor. Made it tonight with fish and Asparagus Parmesan and together was a great easy meal, filling but light. Will definitely make again!

Very mouth watering, excellent for appetizer. I didn't adjust the taste after mixing all the ingredients and it turned out just right.
