Kielbasa with Peppers and Potatoes

Reviewed on Oct. 11, 2008 by Sylvia
Good recipe..I changed just a few things. For veggies I added onions and sliced cabbage, dash of red pepper flakes a little more Olive Oil. I added in this order to my large iron fry pan. Oil, potatoes and browned a little on both sides then added Kielbasa or Smoked Sausage sliced at a long angle for browning then added all other ingredients...cooked everything till meat and potatoes had a nice browned top and bottom...gently turning with heat turned down till all was tender.

All Day Apple Butter

Reviewed on Oct. 11, 2008 by Sylvia
This is a very easy recipe to make. I made a few adjustments to my own tastes as suggested by others. Less sugar and less spice. I also filled the crock pot with apples to make a larger batch. Using my little salad oil battery operated whirler really helped turn the apples to a smooth sauce quickly and easily.

Cream of Broccoli Soup I

Reviewed on Oct. 9, 2008 by Corrina
Very tasty! I made a few modifications: I added two diced carrots and a little extra celery. I skipped the flour as I'm gluten-intolerant. I also added some crushed red pepper flakes, coarse salt, and fresh cracked pepper to the veggies. I think I also went a bit heavy on the broccoli. I used 1/2 & 1/2 instead of milk and thickened the soup at the end with grated cheddar. Awesome, hearty soup!
